SQL Examiner Suite 2008 R2 release notes
June 26, 2008
This is evolution of SQL Examiner Suite 2008 which we have significantly improved and we announce the second release with new features.
SQL Examiner Suite 2008 R2 was available at no cost to all users of SQL Examiner Suite 2008. For more information about that version, see SQL Examiner Suite 2008 Release Notes.
Comparison and Synchronization with SQL scripts
Now SQL Examiner allows comparing and synchronizing database schema with database creation scripts created in, for example, SQL Management Studio or SQL Examiner. This feature is useful when you keep your databases under version control by means of a Source Control System.
Capability to update results of SQL queries
Now when comparing data returned by SQL queries in SQL Data Examiner, it is possible to update data in the tables included in a query as well. This helps to solve the problem of heterogeneous data integration. For example when your company's data are stored in multiple databases on different platforms.
Comparing and synchronizing data stored in MySQL databases
The new version of SQL Data Examiner supports not only SQL Server, Oracle and Access, but also MySQL. As in previous versions, you can compare and synchronize data between different servers, for example SQL Server with Oracle, Access with MySQL etc.
Database Variance Report
Now SQL Data Examiner allows the user to save variance reports in HTML format.
